HOMEMADE PIZZA ♡

My babe and I have been making homemade pizza for a while now. =)

All you need is .. Instant pizza dough mix (or make it from scratch if you're really feeling martha-ish), pizza sauce, & toppings. We always use a variety of cheeses, onions, pepperoni, and peppers. I am a pepper-oholic. Red peppers are my favorite and soooo sweet when cooked. Green peppers are good too.

Finished results

I could eat cooked peppers on everything!
This was our first time ever making a pizza at home! It came out yummmy! Don't mind my 20+ year old cookie sheet. We have a pizza stone but I wanted to experiment. & We've used the pizza stone every time since.
Just onions on this one. yum

I swear my cookie sheets don't look this bad (or maybe they do) haha.

Pizza successss

EASTER DINNER 2011 ♡

I know it's kind of morbid to still eat ham when you have a pet pig, but my father insisted on ham for Easter dinner. I assure you Lucy was nowhere in sight (visual or smell) for this meal.

A beautiful hard boiled egg salad, honey glazed spiral cut ham, corn, and homemade mashed potatoes.
My Mom makes the best mashed potatoes! I could eat the entire bowl. (potatoes, milk, butter, combined)

My Gram (my mom's mom) usually sends us the spiral ham :)
She's French and the best cook. And the best Grandmother!

Simple EASTER salad. (hard boiled eggs, lettuce, tomato, cucumber)

THANKSGIVING DINNER 2011 ♡

How we do THANKSGIVING .. or (how we DID THANKSGIVING in 2011)

First things first.. The stuffing/dressing

Cook and simmer all the goods together (onion, celery, butter, white wine)

Mix with some oven dried bread or store bought. Homemade is always best, but whatever's clever.

Mix mix mix. MMMM.. that is some amazing stuffing! Wish it was THANKSGIVING right now! ( I SPY A LITTLE PIGGY BUTT ) her names Lucy loooo

NEXT, we stuff the bird!

Make sure you wash your turkey and everything inside is outside :) (all the turkey parts etc etc.) Then stuff that baby!

We always get a pretty big bird, we love leftovers!

We like to use the bits and bobs that come inside the turkey for the gravy. You can see the neck in the bottom of the pan.

Ready to rollll !  Cooked for hours until perfect

THANKSGIVING was perfect! Nothing like good food and family. (Lucy's babylock on the cabinet, she's a crazy piglet)

We had lots of sides too, of course.
Salad, deviled eggs, mashed potatoes & gravy, rolls, sweet potatoes with marshmellows, corn, pickles, radish's, olives, cranberry sauce, the usual suspects.

yum!
